Jean-Sébastien recently move to Vancouver from Montreal where he completed his baccalaureate degree at the Conservatoire de musique de Montreal with M. Andre Laplante (2nd prize of the 1978 International Tchaikovsky Competition) and his master degree at Université de Montréal with M. Jean Saulnier. He studied conducting with Raffi Armenian and participated to master classes by numerous famous pianists and teachers such as Jean-Philippe Collard, Jacques Rouvier, Louis Lortie, John Perry, Marc Durand. In 2010, he founded the Chœur du Brouhaha, which now has more than 60 singers. He has taught until 2019 at the Lanaudière School of Music, the Fernand Lindsay Musical Camp and the Université de Québec in Montreal. Always active as a pianist, he has worked with recognized musicians and singers.
